I’m a PhD student, originally trained as a biologist before transitioning into bioinformatics. I decided on this career shift because I was always intrigued by the complexity of biological data and the great insight that it contains. That’s why my research now focuses on analyzing omics data, specifically transcriptomic data, as well as developing R packages to (hopefully) simplify these analyses and help biologists in their quest to answer biological questions.
Aside from biology and bioinformatics, I am self taught digital artist and I enjoy creating colorful illustrations in my free time. Other than that, I like spending time in nature and finding peace and inspiration in the world around me.
