Edoardo Filippi

I am a doctoral student in Bioinformatics at the Institute of Medical Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics (IMBEI), University Medical Center Mainz.
With a background in Biomedical Engineering from Torino, my interest in the intersection of mathematics, informatics, and medicine led me to pursue deep learning in my master’s thesis. This brought me to Mainz, where I worked as a research assistant focusing on movement disorders and bioinformatics.
I find bioinformatics to be the ideal field for me, combining statistics, programming, and creativity with impactful applications in medicine.
